Project Outline
Our project is planting a native California garden at our school, Willow Glen High, for our biology class. We wanted to plant them over by the border between Willow Glen Middle and Willow Glen High, so we scouted out and Area, about 6 feet by 6 feet and got approved by Mr. Bursch. We then researched what plants we should purchase that are Native to California, and not too expensive keeping in mind we only had an $80 dollar budget. We settled on 4 plants, which were the Arctostaphylos Howard Mcminn, The Arctostaphylos Emerald Carpet, The Carmel Creeper Ceanothus, and the Heteromeles Arbutifolia. All of them together cost about $50. Then we needed Soil, preferably native soil, so we bought them from the same place, and our final cost was about $66.
